Few of the above State Public Authorities may reject your application if you don’t submit your application in the prescribed Right to Information Act Application Form.

In addition, few of the State Governments have put additional restrictions on content of the RTI Application. They have restricted the maximum number of words, and/or number of subjects to be covered in one application. For example, Maharashtra Government does not allow the applicant to write application in more than 150 words. In addition, Maharashtra government restricts the applicant to seek information pertaining to only single subject per application. Hence, while writing request for information, you must check such limitations from RTI Rules of the concerned State.
